170 MHz Cortex-M4F with FPU — the mixed-signal control MCU
The STM32G431C8T6: It runs at 170 MHz with single-cycle multiply-accumulate and a hardware FPU, which is the performance tier that handles nested PID loops and field-oriented control without an external DSP. Program memory is 64 KB of Flash, and the 32 KB SRAM provides enough headroom for a real-time OS and data buffers. The 48-pin LQFP package keeps the board area tight while still offering 38 GPIOs.
Analog integration — 17 ADC channels and four DACs on-chip
17 analog-to-digital converter channels at 12-bit resolution and four 12-bit digital-to-analog converters are on-chip.
Supply and temperature — industrial environment fit
On-chip brown-out detect and POR eliminate the need for an external supervisor in many designs.
DMA and PWM timers are built in, so the core can service a motor-control loop without software overhead. The internal oscillator means you can bring up a UART bootloader without an external crystal, though a precision clock is still recommended for CAN or time-sensitive communication.
