Core compute and memory headroom
The STM32F417ZET6 runs an ARM Cortex-M4 core at 168 MHz — the 225 DMIPS ceiling from the single-cycle multiply and DSP extensions means real-time FFT or motor-control loops execute without a separate DSP chip. On-chip memory is 512 KB of flash and 192 KB of SRAM, organised as 192K x 8. The SRAM is enough to hold two full Ethernet frames plus a real-time OS heap without external memory, though the EBI/EMI interface is there if you need more.
Peripheral set for industrial connectivity
Built-in Ethernet MAC with dedicated DMA, dual CAN 2.0B interfaces, and USB OTG HS — this MCU serves as the application processor in a programmable logic controller or an industrial gateway without an external network coprocessor. The 114 general-purpose I/O lines, combined with the 24-channel 12-bit ADC and dual 12-bit DAC, cover multi-axis sensor acquisition and analog output for valve or drive control. Additional peripherals include a camera interface (DCMI), I²S audio, LCD parallel interface, and a full set of timers with PWM generation — suitable for human-machine interface panels with audio feedback.
Package, power, and temperature range
Housed in a 144-pin LQFP with a 20x20 mm body and 0.5 mm pitch.
ROHS3 compliant per the current revision. The base product number STM32F417 covers a family of pin-compatible variants with different memory and package options; the ZET6 suffix specifies 512 KB flash in the 144-LQFP with industrial temperature range.
