72 MHz Cortex-M4 with DSP instructions — the throughput for mixed-signal control
The STM32F303RBT6TR: The DSP extension and floating-point unit handle real-time math for motor-control loops and sensor fusion without offloading to a coprocessor. On-chip memory: 128 KB flash for firmware and bootloader, plus 32 KB SRAM for data buffers and stack. The 52 GPIOs give headroom for parallel sensor arrays or a 16-bit parallel LCD bus alongside the usual UART and SPI peripherals.
Analog integration — 22 ADC channels and dual DAC on a single die
