60 V, 10 A PNP pass transistor in a TO-220
Packaged in a TO-220-3 through-hole case, it dissipates up to 75 W. With a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 20 at 4 A collector current and 4 V Vce, it is sized for linear regulator pass elements, medium-current switching, and power supply output stages where a PNP device handles the high-side load.
Saturation voltage and switching margin
The Vce saturation spec of 8 V maximum at 3.3 A base current and 10 A collector current sets the on-state voltage drop at full load. In a 60 V system, that 8 V drop leaves 52 V across the load — fine for most linear regulators and solenoid drivers. The 2 MHz transition frequency means this is not a high-frequency switcher; it belongs in 50/60 Hz line-frequency circuits or DC pass applications where switching speed is secondary to current handling.

Thermal and mounting considerations
The TO-220 package is a through-hole mount with a metal tab for heatsinking. The 75 W power dissipation assumes proper heatsinking — without it, the junction temperature rises quickly at 10 A continuous current. The operating junction temperature rating of 150 °C sets the thermal budget; a heatsink with adequate thermal resistance keeps the junction below that limit under load. The 700 µA maximum collector cutoff current is a leakage spec worth noting at elevated temperatures, where it can double or triple.
