4Kbit SPI EEPROM — small config storage for tight boards
The STMicroelectronics M95040-DFMC6TG is a 4Kbit serial EEPROM with an SPI interface, organized as 512 x 8 bits. It stores configuration parameters, calibration data, or small firmware patches in designs where every mm² counts.
20 MHz SPI — fast enough for parameter reads
At 20 MHz the SPI clock delivers about 2.5 MB/s read throughput — plenty for pulling calibration tables or boot parameters on power-up.
The wide supply range means this same EEPROM works across a 1.8 V MCU, a 3.3 V FPGA, or a 5 V legacy bus without a level shifter. That simplifies BOM consolidation when you have mixed-voltage domains on the same board.
Not rated for under-hood or engine bay, but fine for most industrial and commercial environments.
8-UFDFPN (2x3 mm) — tiny footprint with exposed pad
The 8-UFDFN package measures 2x3 mm with an exposed pad underneath. The small body fits into sensor modules, dongles, and other space-constrained PCBs.
