This part is officially obsolete per the manufacturer. No last-time-buy window remains open; any procurement goes through the surplus and independent distribution channel. The M24C32 family shares the same base footprint and I²C protocol across density and package options. A pin-compatible non-obsolete sibling in the same 8-TSSOP package is worth evaluating.
Write cycle timing and endurance
The 5 ms write cycle time (word or page) is typical for I²C EEPROMs of this density. For applications that write calibration data infrequently — once per power-up or during a field update — this is not a throughput bottleneck. The 450 ns access time applies to the initial read access; subsequent sequential reads run at the bus clock rate.
