The STMicroelectronics M24C16-DRMN8TP/K is a 16Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 2K x 8 bits, accessed via an I²C interface running at up to 1 MHz.
Parametric fit for the BOM line
Access time is 450 ns; the I²C bus clock at 1 MHz delivers a byte-read throughput of roughly 125 kbytes/s, adequate for calibration data or boot-code storage. Write cycle time is 4 ms per word or page — a full 16-byte page write completes in 4 ms, so a 2Kbyte firmware parameter block takes about 500 ms to update.
