2 Kbit I²C EEPROM — storage fit for calibration and configuration data
The STMicroelectronics M24C02-RMN6TP is a 2 Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 256 x 8 bits, accessed over an I²C bus running at up to 400 kHz. This density is a common fit for storing calibration tables, device configuration profiles, or boot parameters in embedded systems where a few hundred bytes of non-volatile storage are needed and a larger part would waste board area. The I²C bus pull-up resistors must be sized for the lowest supply rail to guarantee the 400 kHz clock rate across the full voltage range.
Industrial temperature grade and surface-mount footprint
The 900 ns access time and 5 ms page write cycle set the timing budget for the I²C controller. During a page write, the bus is held in a wait state; the master must respect the write-cycle time before addressing the device again, or the previous write may not complete.
Package and supply format
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for 8-SOIC. The reel quantity is suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly; the cut-tape option works for prototyping or low-volume builds without committing to a full reel.
