1.3 MHz GBW with rail-to-rail output for single-supply signal chains
The LMV358IDT is a dual-channel general-purpose op amp from STMicroelectronics, built for single-supply applications where the output must swing close to the rails. Its 1.3 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 0.45 V/µs slew rate suit it for audio paths, sensor conditioning, and ADC driver stages up to a few hundred kilohertz. Operating from 2.7 V to 6 V, it fits directly into 3.3 V or 5 V systems without a split supply. The rail-to-rail output stage preserves dynamic range — at 3.3 V the output can swing within 50 mV of each rail, which matters when the ADC reference is the supply itself.
Industrial temperature grade and low quiescent current
Rated for -40°C to 125°C, the LMV358IDT covers the full industrial temperature band — outdoor telecom cabinets, engine-bay sensors, and factory-floor I/O modules all fall within this envelope. The 162 µA supply current per amplifier (both channels active) keeps the thermal budget low in dense PCB layouts. Input offset voltage is trimmed to 100 µV typical, and input bias current is 16 nA. For a 10 kΩ source impedance, the offset error from bias current is under 0.16 mV — negligible in most 8-bit to 12-bit signal chains. Each output can source or sink 160 mA, enough to drive a small relay coil or a 32 Ω headphone load directly. The short-circuit current limit protects the output stage during transient faults.
Active lifecycle and standard 8-SOIC package
The 8-SOIC (3.90 mm width) package is a standard footprint shared across thousands of op-amp designs. The same PCB land pattern works for the quad-channel LMV324IDT if the BOM later needs four amplifiers instead of two — the pinout maps directly.
