4V to 38V input, adjustable output down to 0.85V
The A6986ITR is an automotive AEC-Q100 qualified step-down regulator accepting an unregulated input from 4V up to 38V, making it suitable for 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems as well as industrial bus supplies. The adjustable output can be set as low as 0.85V, which covers the core voltages of modern MCUs and FPGAs.
Switching frequency 275 kHz to 2.2 MHz
At the high end, the regulator can use smaller inductors and capacitors, shrinking the PCB footprint; at the low end, switching losses drop and efficiency improves, which matters when the thermal budget is tight under the hood.
Active production, AEC-Q100 qualified
Single-output, positive-configuration buck
This is a single-output, positive-configuration step-down regulator. The internal compensation network is optimised for a range of output capacitors, so the loop stability check during design-in should cover the full load and temperature range.
