400 V load rating — signal relay with industrial voltage envelope
The AQY224NS is a PhotoMOS AQY solid-state relay rated for 0 V to 400 V load and 30 mA continuous load current. The 400 V ceiling places it in the industrial signal-switching band — it handles the AC mains or DC bus voltage present in process-control and factory-automation front-end circuits without derating to a lower-voltage family. At 30 mA it is a signal-level device, not a power switch — the on-resistance of 100 Ω maximum reflects the MOSFET output sized for that current rather than for lower resistance at higher load.
1.14 V input drive — logic-level compatible
The LED-front-end architecture inside the PhotoMOS provides the galvanic isolation between the input drive and the MOSFET output — the isolation rating of the optocoupler stage is what makes this topology useful in industrial I/O where the field side may sit at a different ground reference than the control logic.
4-SOP footprint — compact SMT with gull-wing termination
The 4-SOP (4.40 mm body width,) surface-mount package with gull-wing termination suits reflow assembly on a standard pad layout. The SOP form factor is wider than a typical SSOP or TSSOP at the same pin count — the additional body width helps dissipate the LED-driver and MOSFET thermal path without an exposed pad. Confirm the pad footprint against the land pattern in the Panasonic datasheet before releasing to layout; the gull-wing lead form requires adequate solder-fillet inspection clearance at the board level.
It ships in tube packaging; reel or cut-tape options for the 4-SOP package depend on the distributor's stocking configuration and are confirmed at quote.
