Product details

400 mA SPST-NO solid-state relay in SOP-4

The Panasonic AQY217GSX is a PhotoMOS™ AQY series SPST-NO (1 Form A) solid-state relay rated for 400 mA continuous load current across a 0 V to 200 V AC/DC load voltage range. The 2.5 Ohm maximum on-state resistance at 25°C means the voltage drop across the output at 400 mA is 1.0 V — the self-heating from that drop raises the junction temperature, and the Rds(on) roughly doubles at 85°C ambient, so derate the load current if the board runs hot.

SOP-4 board fit and output flexibility

AC or DC output coupling means this relay switches both polarities — the internal back-to-back MOSFETs block and conduct in either direction, so it works for AC signal routing, DC load control, or polarity-independent switching without a bridge rectifier.

Frequently asked questions

What is the on-state resistance of AQY217GSX and why does it matter?

Maximum on-state resistance is 2.5 Ohms at 25°C. At 400 mA load that's 1.0 V drop and 0.4 W dissipation inside the package — the SOP-4 body relies on copper trace area for heat sinking, so keep the load current below 300 mA if the ambient exceeds 70°C.
