PhotoMOS AQY — solid-state signal relay for isolated switching
The AQY216EHAX is a normally-open (SPST-NO) solid-state relay from the Panasonic PhotoMOS AQY series, designed for low-power signal switching where galvanic isolation and silent operation are required. Rated for a load current of 50 mA and a load voltage range from 0 V to 600 V, it switches AC or DC signals across a wide voltage span — from logic-level circuits up to high-voltage industrial sensor lines.
Parametric fit — load current, voltage, and on-resistance
The 50 mA continuous load current suits signal-level loads such as PLC digital inputs, sensor outputs, or small solenoid valves — not power loads. The 0 V to 600 V load voltage range covers both low-voltage DC (5 V, 12 V, 24 V) and higher-voltage AC/DC circuits (120 V, 240 V, 480 V) commonly found in industrial control panels. Maximum on-state resistance is 120 Ohms — at 50 mA this drops about 6 V across the relay, which must be accounted for in the load voltage budget.
