PhotoMOS relay for low-power signal switching
The AQY215SX is a normally-open solid-state relay from Panasonic's PhotoMOS AQY series, rated for 250 mA continuous load current at up to 100 V AC or DC. The 4 Ohms max on-state resistance keeps conduction losses low in signal-level circuits — useful for telecom line cards, sensor multiplexing, or data-acquisition channel isolation where a mechanical relay's contact bounce and wear are unacceptable.
Surface-mount package and board integration
Housed in a 4-SOP gull-wing package (4-SMD, Gull Wing), the AQY215SX occupies a standard 4-pin footprint common across the PhotoMOS family. The gull-wing leads are visually inspectable after reflow and tolerate a standard hot-air rework profile without the risk of hidden solder joints under a QFN or BGA.
