Zero-cross AC switching for signal isolation
The Panasonic AQH0213AZ is an SPST-NO (1 Form A) signal relay from the AQ-H series, designed for AC load switching with a built-in zero-cross circuit that turns on the output when the AC waveform crosses zero volts, reducing inrush current and EMI at the moment of closure. Rated for load currents up to 300 mA across a 0 V to 600 V AC range, this relay handles moderate AC signal or small power loads — think PLC digital outputs driving contactors, or isolating low-power AC sensors from a controller backplane.
Surface-mount package and board integration
Housed in an 8-SMD package with a 7.62 mm body width and gull-wing leads (7 leads populated), the AQH0213AZ sits on a standard surface-mount footprint — the 0.300-inch (7.62 mm) row spacing matches common SOIC-8 land patterns, though the 7-lead count means one pin position is omitted. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options, the relay is pick-and-place ready for medium-to-high volume assembly. The gull-wing termination gives good visual solder-joint inspection access compared to J-lead or QFN packages.
