3750Vrms isolation in a 4-Mini-Flat package
The FODM8801B is a single-channel transistor-output optocoupler from onsemi's OptoHit™ family, providing 3750Vrms galvanic isolation in a compact 4-Mini-Flat surface-mount package. Rated for continuous operation from -40°C to 125°C, it suits industrial motor-drive feedback, PLC digital input isolation, and 48V telecom board-level signal transfer.
CTR bin and switching speed for BOM margin
The current transfer ratio is binned 130% to 260% at a forward current of 1 mA. This tight spread means the designer can set the LED drive current once and expect the output transistor to saturate across temperature and lot variation without re-tuning the bias resistor. Typical rise and fall times are 5 µs and 5.5 µs respectively; turn-on and turn-off times are both 6 µs typical.
