PLL clock synchronizer for line card timing
The Microchip ZL30120GGG2 is a PLL-based line card synchronizer designed for Ethernet, SONET/SDH, and telecom infrastructure equipment. It accepts a single LVCMOS reference input and generates ten LVCMOS output clocks, with a maximum output frequency of 100 MHz. The 11:10 input-to-output ratio allows one clean reference to drive multiple line card clock domains without external fan-out buffers.
Supply and temperature envelope
Runs from a 2.97 V to 3.63 V supply rail, which matches standard 3.3 V logic families. The 100-CABGA (9x9) package demands a controlled-impedance PCB stack-up and a reflow profile suited to a 0.8 mm ball pitch.
