The Microchip TC622VOA is a programmable thermostat in an 8-pin SOIC package, delivering an Active High push-pull output when the die temperature exceeds the user-set trip point. The trip threshold is set with an external resistor, so you dial in the exact over-temperature limit your board needs without swapping parts. The output sinks or sources 600 µA, which is plenty to drive a logic input or a small indicator LED through a series resistor.
