Dual low-side driver with 1.2 A peak gate drive
The Microchip TC1426COA713 is a dual low-side MOSFET driver delivering 1.2 A peak source and 1.2 A peak sink current from a 4.5 V to 16 V supply rail. It drives both N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs with independent inverting inputs, making it a straightforward fit for low-side switching in SMPS, motor-drive pre-drive, and DC-DC converter stages where the load returns to ground.
Switching speed and logic thresholds
Typical rise time is 35 ns and fall time 25 ns into a 1 nF load, which translates to clean gate transitions at switching frequencies up to several hundred kilohertz. The logic input thresholds are 0.8 V (VIL) and 3 V (VIH), compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V logic families without external level shifting.
Housed in an 8-SOIC (0.154-inch width) package for surface-mount assembly.
