The Microchip SY58018UMG is a single 2:1 multiplexer from the Precision Edge® family, built for routing one of two differential or single-ended signal paths to a common output. The dual supply range — 2.375V to 2.625V and 3V to 3.6V — lets it run directly off a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra LDO, which matters when the board already has those rails for the FPGA or SerDes.
Supply voltage flexibility — one part, two rails
Two non-overlapping supply windows are specified: 2.375V–2.625V (2.5V nominal) and 3V–3.6V (3.3V nominal). That covers the common logic families without a separate voltage translator. If your system uses 3.3V for the main logic and 2.5V for the high-speed serial side, this part works on either rail.
