64 Mbit Quad-SPI Flash for code and data storage
The Microchip SST26VF064BT-104I/MN is a 64 Mbit serial Flash memory from the SST26 SQI® family, organized as 8M x 8 bits. It uses an SPI Quad I/O interface that clocks at up to 104 MHz, delivering read throughput suitable for execute-in-place firmware, configuration storage, or data logging in embedded systems.
Quad I/O uses four data lines instead of one, quadrupling the peak read rate over standard SPI. At 104 MHz, the raw throughput is about 52 MB/s before protocol overhead. This matters when the Flash holds a compressed firmware image that must be decompressed into RAM quickly, or when the MCU runs code directly from the Flash (execute-in-place) and the bus can keep the pipeline fed. The 1.5 ms page write time is typical for this density class; plan for sector-erase latency in the firmware update routine.
Microchip lists the SST26VF064BT-104I/MN as Active.
