The driver itself has no internal switches, so each output needs an external FET or transistor to handle the LED string current — the chip provides the gate drive and current regulation logic.

It runs from 10.8 V to 13.2 V supply — a tight window that matches a regulated 12 V rail, not a wide-input automotive bus.
