The MIC5365-3.0YD5-TR is a single-output positive LDO from Microchip Technology, delivering a fixed 3 V rail at up to 150 mA. Its PSRR holds 80 dB at 1 kHz and stays above 65 dB at 10 kHz, which means ripple from a switching pre-regulator is attenuated by a factor of 10,000 at the lower frequency — clean enough to feed an analog front-end or a precision reference without an additional LC filter stage. The 39 µA quiescent current keeps the regulator's own draw low enough for always-on blocks in battery-powered designs — a sensor node that spends most of its time in a low-power sleep state sees the LDO's consumption as a fixed overhead on the battery budget.
Dropout and thermal headroom at full load
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.31 V at 150 mA output. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, covering the industrial and automotive under-hood envelope. Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection shut down the output during a fault condition. The enable pin allows external sequencing — pulling it low drops the output and reduces the quiescent current to near zero for the off state.
The TR suffix indicates reel packaging for automated pick-and-place assembly; CT units are available for prototype or low-volume builds.
