300 mA LDO in a 1.2×1.6 mm footprint
The MIC5337-1.8YMT TR is a single-output positive LDO from Microchip Technology, delivering 300 mA at a fixed 1.8 V. It comes in the 4-TMLF package (1.2×1.6 mm) with an exposed pad for thermal transfer — the board area is about the size of a 0402 resistor, so it fits into space-constrained designs like sensor modules or wearable audio paths.
PSRR across the audio band
Power-supply rejection ratio is 65 dB at 1 kHz, rolling to 50 dB at 20 kHz. This means the LDO attenuates ripple from a switching regulator upstream by a factor of roughly 1800 at 1 kHz — enough to keep the 1.8 V rail clean for an audio codec or ADC reference without a post-filter. The dropout voltage is 300 mV max at full 300 mA load, so the input rail needs at least 2.1 V to maintain regulation. Quiescent current is 35 µA typical — the LDO's own draw stays low enough that a battery-powered device spending most of its time in sleep mode sees negligible drain from the regulator itself. Enable pin allows the output to be shut down entirely, pulling the quiescent current to near zero.
Temperature grade and protection
On-chip protection includes over-current and over-temperature shutdown — the LDO folds back current on a short and latches off if the die exceeds the thermal limit.
