LDO for noise-sensitive rails
The MIC5308YD6-TR is an adjustable-output LDO regulator from Microchip Technology, delivering up to 150 mA with a dropout voltage of 0.15 V max at full load. Its PSRR of 90 dB at 1 kHz makes it a fit for supply rails feeding analog or RF circuits where ripple rejection matters — the regulator attenuates 1 kHz noise by a factor of ~31,600, keeping the output clean even when the input bus carries switching ripple. The output adjusts from a 0.8 V reference up to 2 V using an external resistor divider, which suits low-voltage core supplies for MCUs or sensor bias rails.
Housed in a TSOT-23-6 (thin SOT-23-6) package, the MIC5308YD6-TR occupies minimal board area and suits space-constrained designs. The surface-mount footprint is standard for this package class, and the enable pin allows the regulator to be gated by a GPIO or power-good signal for sequenced power-up. Protection features include over-current and over-temperature shutdown, so the regulator handles output shorts or excessive ambient temperature without external clamp diodes. The enable pin also doubles as a low-power shutdown — pulling it low drops the quiescent current to near zero for battery-powered sleep modes.
