The MIC5305-1.5YML TR is a single-output positive LDO regulator from Microchip, delivering a fixed 1.5 V at up to 150 mA from a 5.5 V max input rail. The 150 mA ceiling suits always-on sensor interfaces, MCU core supplies, or low-power RF front-ends that draw well below the limit — the real value is the PSRR profile: 85 dB at 1 kHz, tapering to 65 dB at 10 kHz, which knocks down switching-regulator ripple on a mixed-signal board. Operating junction temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, so the part holds regulation across the industrial ambient range and survives under-hood heat soak. Quiescent current sits at 150 µA — not the lowest in class, but reasonable for a regulator that stays enabled in a system that sleeps between measurement cycles.
Package and board-fit — 6-MLF 2x2 mm with exposed pad
Housed in a 6-VDFN exposed pad / 6-MLF® package, supplier device package 6-MLF (2x2 mm). Without it, the 150 mA load at high ambient temperature pushes the junction toward the 125°C ceiling faster than the bare package can shed. Surface-mount only; bulk packaging. Control features include an enable pin and current limit; protection covers over-current and over-temperature. The enable lets a GPIO or supervisor sequence the rail on/off without a separate load switch.
