500 mA fixed 2.6 V — the rail it serves
A single-output positive LDO, fixed at 2.6 V, capable of 500 mA continuous output. Quiescent current is 8 µA typical, which makes this regulator a candidate for battery-powered gear that spends most of its time in a light-load or sleep state — the LDO's own draw is well below the self-discharge rate of a lithium primary cell.
PSRR and protection — what the ratings buy you
That matters when the 2.6 V rail feeds an analog front-end or a precision ADC reference. Built-in over-current, over-temperature, and reverse polarity protection cover the common fault modes: a shorted load folds back the current, a thermal event shuts down the die before the plastic package reaches its glass-transition temperature, and a reversed battery won't damage the regulator itself.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a 5-pin SC-74A / SOT-753 package, also known as SOT-23-5. The 0.95 mm pitch and 2.9 x 1.6 mm footprint fit a standard two-layer board without via-in-pad — the thermal pad on the underside carries the die heat to a copper pour on the top layer. An engine-bay ECU or a rooftop solar microinverter that sees 105°C ambient still has 20°C of margin before the absolute-max junction limit.
