80 mA per channel, 3.3 V fixed — dual LDO in SOT-23-6
The MIC5211-3.3YM6-TR from Microchip Technology is a dual-output linear regulator delivering 80 mA per channel from a fixed 3.3 V rail. The 16 V maximum input voltage gives headroom for 5 V or 12 V intermediate buses, and the 0.5 V dropout at 50 mA per channel means the output stays in regulation with less than half a volt between input and output. Two independent regulators in a single SOT-23-6 package let you power separate analog and digital supply domains — for example, the analog front-end and the digital core of a sensor module — without a second IC. The 450 µA quiescent current per regulator keeps the total overhead under 1 mA, which matters for battery-powered designs where every microamp counts.
Protection suite and temperature grade
Built-in over-current, over-temperature, and reverse-polarity protection cover the common fault conditions on a power rail — a shorted output or a reversed battery connection won't cascade into the load. The -40°C to 125°C operating range qualifies the part for industrial enclosures and outdoor equipment where the ambient temperature swings beyond commercial limits. The enable pin lets you sequence the two outputs independently or shut down one rail in sleep mode. With a maximum supply current of 1.2 mA, the regulator's own draw is low enough that a microcontroller's GPIO can drive the enable pin directly without a buffer transistor.
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging — the standard format for automated pick-and-place assembly. The SOT-23-6 footprint is a common small-outline package with 0.95 mm pitch, compatible with standard reflow profiles for lead-free soldering.
