Digital local/remote sensing with I²C/SMBus interface
The MIC281-2BM6TR: This is a digital temperature sensor that measures both its own die temperature (local) and an external diode-connected transistor (remote) over an I²C or SMBus two-wire bus. For most system monitoring tasks — over-temperature trip points, fan control, thermal throttling — that is tight enough to act on without calibration.
