MIPS32 M14K core with 128KB on-chip SRAM
The MEC1414-NU is an embedded controller built around the MIPS32 M14K core, carrying 128KB of on-chip SRAM for firmware state and data buffering. The 106 general-purpose I/O lines map directly to the matrix scan and GPIO expansion a keyboard-and-embedded-controller design demands — each pin can be assigned to a row, column, or system interrupt without external muxing.
128-TQFP footprint and supply rail range
Housed in a 128-TQFP (14x14 mm body, 0.4 mm pitch), the MEC1414-NU requires a 4-layer board minimum for fan-out of the inner rows. For extended-temperature or automotive bays, a different grade is needed.
The part is ROHS3 compliant, which satisfies EU and most global regulatory requirements for new equipment. No pin-compatible second source or official successor is published; the BOM line is single-sourced to this order code.
