166 MHz Cortex-M3 with 25K logic-module FPGA
The M2S025-FCSG325I combines an ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at 166 MHz with 25K logic modules of FPGA fabric on a single die. This means a single chip can handle a real-time control loop in the hard processor while the FPGA absorbs custom peripheral logic, protocol bridging, or DSP pre-processing — no external CPLD or FPGA needed.
Memory budget and peripheral set
On-chip memory: 64 KB SRAM and 256 KB Flash. The Flash holds the firmware image for the Cortex-M3; the SRAM serves both the processor stack and FPGA data buffers. For designs that need more, the DDR, PCIe, and SERDES peripherals allow external memory expansion and high-speed serial links.
