Product details

Three-channel remote sensing in a 2×2 mm package

The Microchip EMC1833T-2E/RW is a three-channel digital remote temperature sensor that communicates over I²C/SMBus. It monitors its own die temperature plus two external diode-connected transistors, covering -40°C to 125°C across all channels with a typical accuracy of ±1.5°C. The 8-WFDFN package with exposed pad (2×2 mm body) keeps the footprint small while the thermal pad pulls heat from the die into the PCB copper pour — a layout detail that matters when the sensor sits near hot components on a crowded board.

Supply voltage and logic compatibility

The I²C/SMBus interface follows the same supply, so the SDA/SCL levels match the bus master without a level shifter in between. Standby mode drops the quiescent current further — use it between measurement cycles in battery-powered or energy-harvesting designs where every microamp counts.

Active production — no obsolescence concern

The part is offered in Tape & Reel (TR) for automated assembly and Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping or low-volume builds. Both are orderable against an RFQ through independent distribution.
