20 ns EE PLD in a 24-pin DIP — the legacy glue-logic workhorse
The Microchip ATF22V10CQZ-20PI is an electrically erasable programmable logic device from the 22V10 series, offering 10 macrocells with a propagation delay of 20 ns.
The 20 ns propagation delay sets the maximum clock frequency for state machines and address decode logic. Ten macrocells provide enough registers and product terms for medium-complexity glue logic. The 5V-only I/O means this part cannot interface directly with lower logic families without level translation.
Obsolete — sourcing reality for a discontinued PLD
Date-code provenance and condition should be verified for a production BOM. For a drop-in replacement, the most common approach is to qualify a pin-compatible 22V10 from the same or a second-source family — the 22V10 architecture is widely second-sourced, though package and speed grade must match.
