ARM926EJ-S at 400 MHz — HMI and gateway processor
The AT91SAM9M10C-CU is a 32-bit ARM926EJ-S microprocessor clocked at 400 MHz, targeting embedded displays, industrial gateways, and networked control panels where a single core handles both the application and the user interface. On-chip peripherals include a 10/100 Ethernet MAC, three USB 2.0 ports, and a display controller that drives LCD and touchscreen panels alongside a video decoder interface.
Memory interface and I/O voltage flexibility
The RAM controller supports LPDDR, LPSDR, DDR2, SDR, and SRAM, giving the layout engineer a wide choice of memory technology without a board respin — useful when DRAM allocation shifts mid-project. I/O voltage rails are 1.8 V and 3.3 V, which matches common memory and peripheral families directly; no external level shifters needed for the SPI, I2C, or UART interfaces listed in the additional interfaces block. The 324-ball TFBGA package measures 15x15 mm — a four-layer board with via-in-pad is the safe starting point for fan-out.
