Small-footprint I²C EEPROM for calibration and configuration data
The Microchip AT24CSW010-STUM-T is a 1 Kbit serial EEPROM with an I²C interface, organized as 128 x 8 bits. It stores non-volatile calibration constants, device configuration, serial numbers, or small lookup tables in designs where board space is tight. The TSOT-23-5 package occupies roughly the same area as a single SOT-23 small-signal transistor, making it a fit for space-constrained PCBs in portable instruments, sensor modules, and IoT edge nodes.
450 ns access time — bus timing margin at 1 MHz I²C
With a 450 ns access time and a 1 MHz clock frequency, this part keeps up with the fast-mode plus I²C bus without adding wait states for a simple read. The 5 ms write cycle time for a word or page write is typical for this density; the host firmware needs to poll the acknowledge polling or insert a delay after each write.
