1 Kbit I²C EEPROM in a compact 8-TSSOP package
The Microchip AT24C01D-XHM-T is a 1Kbit serial EEPROM with an I²C interface, organized as 128 x 8 bits. It supports clock frequencies up to 1 MHz and offers a 4.5 µs access time for random reads. The 8-TSSOP package saves board area compared to wider SOIC footprints.
The supply range spans 1.7V to 3.6V, which covers 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic families without an external regulator. This is a practical advantage when the EEPROM shares a rail with a low-voltage MCU or SoC, eliminating a separate LDO for the memory.
Write cycle time and endurance for parameter storage
For a 1Kbit device used to store calibration coefficients, serial numbers, or configuration bytes, this write speed is adequate for field updates during firmware upgrades or production programming. The EEPROM technology provides non-volatile retention without a battery backup.
