1Kbit I²C EEPROM in a 2x3 mm footprint
The Microchip AT24C01C-MAHM-E is a 1Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 128 x 8 bits, accessed through an I²C interface running at up to 1 MHz. The 8-UDFN package with exposed pad (2x3 mm) saves board area in space-constrained designs like sensor modules, portable instruments, and IoT edge nodes. Access time is 550 ns, and the write cycle time per word or page is 5 ms.
Supply voltage and temperature — industrial range, not automotive
The 1.7V to 5.5V supply covers the full industrial logic range. If your BOM calls for AEC-Q100 grade, the AT24C01C-MAHM-E does not carry that qualification — you would need the automotive-series variant.
Microchip lists the AT24C01C-MAHM-E as Active. For production programs that need a second-source hedge, the AT24C01C-MAHM-T is the same die in a different reel option (Tape & Reel vs Cut Tape); the AT24C01D-XHM-T offers a faster 4.5 µs access time but is otherwise pin-compatible. Neither is a drop-in replacement without verifying the package code — the -MAHM suffix is specific to the 8-UDFN (2x3) footprint.
