150K system gates — the logic budget anchor
The Microchip APA150-TQG100 is a ProASICPLUS flash-based FPGA with 150,000 system gates and 36,864 bits of embedded dual-port SRAM. The 66 user I/O are distributed across a 100-pin TQFP — enough for moderate glue logic, bus bridging, or a small state machine with a handful of control signals.
36 Kbit RAM — what fits in the block
The 36,864 total RAM bits are organised as dual-port SRAM blocks. That is enough for a 256×144 FIFO, a small packet buffer, or coefficient storage for a digital filter. If your data path needs deeper memory, the gate array can implement distributed RAM from the 150K gate fabric, but it burns logic cells and slows the path.
That removes the sourcing risk for a new design or a repair BOM line.
