125K-gate ProASIC3 in a 100-TQFP
The A3P125-VQ100 is a Microchip ProASIC3 FPGA with 125000 system gates and 71 user I/O, packed into a 100-TQFP (14x14 mm) body. It carries 36864 bits of embedded RAM, enough for small FIFO buffers or register files in glue-logic or state-machine roles.
Supply and temperature — 1.5 V core, 0 to 85 °C
Core supply is 1.425 V to 1.575 V — a tight 1.5 V nominal rail. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to 85 °C (TJ), so it is specified for commercial/industrial ambient environments but not extended or automotive. If the board sits in a ventilated enclosure or a conditioned space, this part fits without derating worry.
RoHS non-compliant — legacy BOMs only
This variant is RoHS non-compliant. If your assembly line or customer spec requires RoHS-10/6 exemption-free material, the A3P125-VQ100 is not the right pick. For legacy or military-contract builds that still run tin-lead solder, it is a direct fit.
100-TQFP — what the footprint means on the bench
That pitch is fine-pitch but hand-solderable with a decent iron and flux — no hot-air station required for a careful rework tech. The exposed pad is not present (TQFP has no centre pad), so all 71 I/O route to the perimeter. Orientation is unambiguous: pin 1 chamfer on the top-left corner as you read the marking.
