8Kbit SPI EEPROM for firmware and calibration storage
The Microchip 25LC080AT-I/SN is an 8Kbit serial EEPROM with an SPI interface, organized as 1K x 8 bits.
10 MHz SPI — throughput for the bus
The 10 MHz SPI clock rate means a page write (the device uses a 5 ms write cycle per word or page) completes fast enough for most non-volatile parameter updates without stalling the host MCU. At 10 MHz, a 1 KB read takes roughly 820 µs — fine for boot-time firmware loading or periodic sensor-log dumps.
The ROHS3 compliance is current for EU and other regulated markets.
The supply range (2.5V to 5.5V) covers 3.3V and 5V logic rails without an external regulator. The SPI interface is 5V-tolerant on the input pins, so it interfaces directly with 3.3V or 5V MCUs.
