2Kbit I²C EEPROM for sensor calibration and parameter storage
The 24AA02H-I/SN is a 2Kbit non-volatile EEPROM from Microchip Technology, organized as 256 x 8 bits and accessed over an I²C bus at up to 400 kHz. Its 1.7V to 5.5V supply range lets it sit on a 3.3V or 5V rail without a separate regulator, which simplifies the power tree in mixed-voltage sensor modules or industrial controller boards. The 900 ns access time and 5 ms write cycle per word or page are typical for this density class — the write cycle is the throughput bottleneck for frequent logging, but for storing calibration coefficients or configuration tables at power-up, it is more than adequate.
Supply voltage and temperature grade for BOM fit
Rated from 1.7V to 5.5V, this part works with both 3.3V and 5V logic families without a level shifter on the I²C lines — a common requirement when pairing a 3.3V MCU with a 5V sensor or actuator. The industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C covers outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor PLCs, and automotive cabin environments, though it is not rated for under-hood or engine-bay use.
