The XMC1202T028X0016ABXUMA1 is an Infineon XMC1000-series ARM Cortex-M0 MCU clocked at 32 MHz, with 16 KB of on-chip flash and 16K x 8 SRAM — enough code space for a sensor-fusion algorithm or a brushless-DC motor-control loop with the HAL and commutation tables resident.
Peripheral set for mixed-signal control
On-chip peripherals include a 14-channel 12-bit ADC, PWM timers, I2S audio interface, LINbus, SPI, I2C, and UART/USART — the ADC and PWM pair directly for current-sense and phase-timing loops in a sensorless motor drive. Brown-out detect, power-on reset, and a watchdog timer are integrated, so the MCU can run in a standalone node without an external supervisor.
