AEC-Q100 unipolar switch for 2.7 V automotive rails
The TLI4906KHTSA1 is an Infineon unipolar Hall switch from the Automotive series, qualified to AEC-Q100. It operates from a 2.7 V supply rail, allowing direct connection to 3.3 V or 2.8 V automotive sensor buses without an intermediate regulator. The magnetic switch points are 13.9 mT (trip) and 4.7 mT (release), with a South Pole activation — this simplifies magnet polarity selection in assembly and reduces false triggers from stray North Pole fields.
Magnetic switch points and output drive
Output is open-drain, rated for 20 mA continuous sink current — sufficient to drive a logic input or a low-power LED indicator directly. The switching current is 6 mA typical. Compared to the sibling TLI49462KHTSA1, which has a 19.2 mT trip and -19.2 mT release (bipolar latch), the TLI4906KHTSA1 is a unipolar switch with a wider hysteresis (9.2 mT vs 38.4 mT) — better suited for simple presence/absence detection where the magnet passes once per cycle.
Active production and package availability
It ships in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for the SC59 SMD package. The -40°C to 125°C operating temperature range covers under-hood and cabin automotive environments. Temperature compensation is built in to maintain stable switch points across the range.
Sourcing and cross-reference note
The TLI49611MXTSA1 is a latch-type device with 3.5 mT / -3.5 mT trip points and a 3.0 V supply, suitable for applications needing direction detection.
