Eight-channel low-side driver for automotive solenoid and relay loads
The Infineon TLE75008ESDXUMA1 is an eight-channel low-side power driver designed to switch inductive loads such as relays and solenoids in automotive body and chassis electronics. Each of the eight N-channel outputs delivers up to 330 mA continuous, with a typical Rds(on) of 1 Ohm per channel — the on-resistance limits conduction loss and self-heating in a sealed ECU enclosure. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification means the part is characterized and reliability-tested for -40°C to 150°C junction temperature, covering under-hood and engine-bay ambient conditions.
SPI control and diagnostic feedback
An SPI interface provides serial control of the output states and readback of fault status — the MCU can poll each channel's open-load, over-temperature, or over-voltage condition without dedicated sense pins. The 1:8 input-to-output ratio means a single chip-select line and four SPI signals (MOSI, MISO, SCLK, CS) manage all eight channels, conserving GPIO on the host microcontroller. Slew-rate controlled switching reduces radiated emissions and voltage transients on the battery rail, which simplifies the EMC filter design on the PCB.
Lifecycle and compliance status
ROHS3 compliant with no exemptions flagged; the part is suitable for EU-market vehicle programs requiring the latest restricted-substance compliance.
