Single-axis Hall sensor for automotive position and current sensing
The Infineon TLE4997E2XALA1 is a single-axis Hall-effect sensor delivering an analog voltage output proportional to the magnetic field normal to the package face. It is qualified to AEC-Q100, rated for the -40°C to 125°C junction temperature range, and packaged in a through-hole PG-SSO-3-92 module. Key features include a programmable sensing range from ±50 mT to ±200 mT, 12-bit resolution, a 3.2 kHz bandwidth, and on-chip temperature compensation. Supply voltage is 4.5 V to 5.5 V; maximum supply current is 10 mA.
Programmable range and temperature compensation — what they mean for the BOM
Temperature compensation is built in, so the output drift over the -40°C to 125°C range is managed internally. No external thermistor or lookup-table correction is needed, saving two passives and a microcontroller ADC channel.
Mounting and integration
Through-hole PG-SSO-3-92 package. Three pins: supply, ground, analog output. The package is designed for direct board mounting or socket insertion. No external pull-up resistor needed on the output — the 1 mA maximum output current drives into a typical 10 kΩ load to ground.
