18 mT trip, 5 mT release — the hysteresis that prevents false triggers
The 18 mT operate point and 5 mT release point give a 13 mT hysteresis band. That gap keeps the output from chattering when the magnetic field hovers near the threshold — a common failure in vibration-heavy environments like engine compartments or conveyor drives.
Wide supply and automotive temperature range
The 3.8 V to 24 V supply span covers unregulated vehicle electrical systems — a 12 V truck battery at cold crank dips below 5 V, and a load-dump transient peaks above 20 V, both inside the operating window. Junction temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C places this in the automotive under-hood class. The through-hole PG-SSO-3-2 package handles the thermal cycling of engine-bay mounting without the solder-joint fatigue risk of a surface-mount equivalent.
