133 MHz Quad I/O — throughput without the pin count
The SPI Quad I/O interface at 133 MHz clock delivers effective read bandwidth well above a standard SPI part, because four data lines transfer per clock cycle. For a system that needs to copy a firmware image from Flash to RAM at boot, this cuts the load time compared to a single-bit SPI NOR running at the same frequency. The trade-off is that the controller must support Quad I/O mode — check that your MCU or SoC has the four data-line IO pins mapped. Compared to the S25FL512SAGMFBG10 (same die in a different package, tray instead of tape-and-reel), this variant ships on Tape & Reel, which is the preferred format for high-volume pick-and-place assembly.
