Integrated 3-phase motor driver for 200V appliance loads
The IRSM836-024MA from Infineon packs the control logic, gate drive, and power stage into a single 36-PowerVQFN package — no separate driver IC or external MOSFETs needed for a 3-phase AC motor up to 200V and 2A. Its three half-bridge outputs drive synchronous AC motors in appliance applications like washing machine drums, refrigerator compressors, or ventilation fans, where board space and BOM count are tight.
2A output and 200V load ceiling
Rated for 2A continuous output current per half-bridge at a 200V max load voltage, this part handles the winding current of small-to-medium appliance motors without external heatsinking in many cases — the 36-PQFN (12x12mm) package's exposed pad pulls heat into the PCB copper. The UMOS technology keeps the on-resistance low, reducing conduction losses that would otherwise heat the package and derate the output.
A single 13.5V to 16.5V supply rail powers the control logic and gate drive — no separate low-voltage rail needed, which simplifies the power supply design on the control board.
