The Infineon IR2127SPBF is a single-channel gate driver that can be configured for either high-side or low-side drive of an IGBT or N-Channel MOSFET. It runs on a 12V to 20V supply and includes a bootstrap diode rated to 600 V, so it can directly drive the high-side switch in a half-bridge leg up to that rail voltage. The 250 mA source / 500 mA sink peak output is sized for medium-power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor drives, switch-mode power supplies, and PFC stages.

Housed in an 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90 mm width) surface-mount package, the IR2127SPBF fits standard pick-and-place assembly. The single driver channel leaves the adjacent SOIC pins available for routing the bootstrap diode and decoupling capacitor close to the IC.
