Rated junction temperature spans -55°C to 175°C, covering under-hood automotive and industrial enclosures without forced cooling. Maximum power dissipation of 188 W at the case temperature is a package-and-heatsink limit — your actual dissipation is the product of Rds(on) and the square of the RMS drain current, derated by the thermal resistance from junction to case. The TO-220-3 with supplier package PG-TO220-3-1 is the standard three-lead tab-mount format; the tab is the drain. ROHS3 compliant per the listing.
